The claimants formally file their claim against licensing decisions for exports to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The first part of the claim, filed only against the Chairperson of the NCACC, sought to compel the disclosure of information on all entities that hold or have applied for permits for controlled items to Saudi Arabia and the UAE and to serve a copy of the complaint to these permit holders. The second part, filed against both respondents – the NCACC and the Minister of Defence, sought to set aside decisions by the NCACC to authorise permits for the trade of controlled items to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, or alternatively to have them reconsidered in light of the risk of international law violations, taking into account reports of the UN Group of Experts on Yemen.
