This blog discusses lessons learned and problematic aspects of the the UK High Court’s judgment on CAAT’s legal challenge to the UK government, over its arms sales to Saudi Arabia for use in the war in Yemen. It analyses how some of the elements of the Government’s arguments illustrate a clear attempt to circumvent its obligations under international law. It reiterates that CAAT remains steadfast in its position that the Government’s actions were unlawful.
