Questions Submitted to the NCACC

The claimants submitted a list of questions to the Chairperson of the NCACC, referencing its mandate to ensure the implementation of a legitimate, effective and transparent control process and to provide the public with timely, accessible and accurate information. Among others, the questions submitted to the NCACC included requests for the criteria and sources it consults when assessing export permit requests. In particular, the claimant requested information on exports during the period 2010-2020, including the value of permits granted, the number of denials issued, the number of post-export inspections as well as the records of all end-user certificates issued for transfers from South Africa to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Germany and the Netherlands respectively in this period.  They also requested all NCACC annual reports for this period and the minutes and records of all NCACC meetings held since 2010 in which export permits and end-user certificates were discussed.
